Sadism

The term comes from the surname of the French aristocrat, writer and philosopher Marquis de Sade (whose full name is Donacien Alphonse François de Sade) and was introduced in the late 19th century by the Austrian psychologist Richard von Kraft-Ebing to denote sexual pleasure from causing of pain and humiliation of another person, willing or forced to endure them (Masochist).
